Aerial7 Tank Multi-device Stereo Headphones DJs, Gamers and Music Lovers Take a look
When I opened shipping box and stuck the AERIAL7 Tank Azzurro Headphones on my head I thought “I have seen these on the guy who directed the pilot of a 747 when he parked it in Atlanta.” And then “No, that looks like Clark Howard giving me the word on how to be financially sound.” I mean they are impressively big! Do they sound as big as they look? Actually AERIAL7 seems to be targeting DJs or DJ hopefuls. Take a look at the guys on the site. I can also see these headsets blowing your mind when you play the latest games.
IN THE BIG BOX The Headphones A bag holding: Thick Coiled Cable For standard music players Thin Straight Cable with microphone for iPhone and other cell phones 3.5mm ~ 6.3mm ¼” adaptor 3.5mm iPhone ~ 2.5mm universal mobile phone adaptor
A lot of though went into the design of the AERIAL7 Headphones and the accompanying cables and adaptors. My sample is the Tank Azzurro. Other versions of the Tank series include Graffiti, Midnight, Shade and Storm. These all have different colors and designs.
In addition to the Tank series AERIAL7 also has three other design groups; Chopper, Matador, and Sumo. Go to the site to see more details. LINK The AERIAL7 products do work with iPhone and Skype. At $79.00 they are not too pricey.
The Nano 4th gen and a Sansa Clip sounded pretty good when playing music. Audiobooks seemed muddy but not terribly so. Changing settings in these players did not change the output sound. The Lenovo ThinkPad R400 produced really clear sound with NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS. This was for music as well as Audiobooks.
Music in Windows 7 environment Media player GOOD Media Center TV, albums. Movies, Radio GOOD
iTunes Radio and other music were fine as were QuickTime videos with sound. Using a Bluetooth adaptor to connect the headphones to a cell phone with Bluetooth capability worked fine. It did not change sound reproduction.
The AERIAL7 TANK headphones provided good sound overall but watch all the connectors. Be sure they stay tight. I use various protective covers on my nano 4th Gen player. I found those needed to be removed to insure sound in both ears. Once I was down to the basic nano all was good!
These headphones may or may not please you. If you are looking for ambient noise cancellation or just reduction these are not for you. They are not for runners, bikers, or gym rats. DJs, game players, and music-while-sitting-in-a-chair folks will enjoy them. They are comfortable even if they are BIG. They are also too funky for Clark Howard.
