Kingston DataTraveler 150 32 Gigabytes in a tiny package
I could wish that the color and design of the Kingston DataTraveler 150 USB drive was more sedate but I can complain about the storage size and function of this little thumb drive. I am not sure why its name ends in 150 when it is really delivering a 32 Gig or 64 Gig drive but who cares. It is another instance where electronics either get smaller or hold more. In this case the external is the usual size with more storage room packed inside. With a 5 year warrantee and a list price of $116.00 for the32 gig or $177.00 for the 64 gig this is a fairly good value. I did search the web and found pricing for the 32 gig version as low as $64.99 and the 64 Gig was as around $133.00. Prices like that make it even better.
Of course you can now get a 160 gig external hard drive about the size of a deck of cards for around $100.00. But size does matter and the flash drive is less susceptible to accidental damage when dropped or mistreated.

When I did check the properties of my test Kingston DataTraveler 150 I found only 30 Gigs of usable storage space but why quibble. It is what it is; a great way to carry, save, and relocate your favorite much needed files. This drive will fit in your pocket and hold thousands of photos, work efforts, or songs. This would depend on the size of each file.
This is another in the recent moves to larger storage solutions in small platforms. I was impressed with the speed and capability of the DataTraveler 150. I wish I had the 64 Gig version.
