The Little Engine That Can!
The DiskGO 1" Mini Portable Hard Drive by EDGE is about the size of a Zippo lighter It even looks like one with its burnished metal finish. This drive is a convenient way to backup and save your important files. This sleek, aluminum-encased portable hard drive can quickly and easily store thousands of songs, documents, presentations, and most any file you want to carry with you on your travels. With capacities ranging from 4GB - 8GB, the DiskGO 1" Mini Portable Hard Drive really works for me.
The Transfer speed is great at 7.9 MB/s. It is backward compatible with USB 1.1. The fold-out USB connecter along with the included USB cable makes for easy hookup to most any USB hub. It is MAC compatible (OS9 or later) and can be run under Windows 98SE, ME, XP and 2000. No external power supply is required. A tiny carry case that can be placed on your belt for easy safe transport is included in the package. That means the only time you may be separated from the drive is when homeland security checks you into the airport.
It is important to note that hard drives such as this should be treated with care as, unlike memory sticks, they have moving parts that need some TLC.
This product can hold most of my most valuable files in one location. It is great for hurricane evacuation or just carrying my world with me when I travel. Of course I am already wishing for a 20 Gig model.
