LENOVO ThinkPad R400
Last month I waved goodbye to the trusty Lenovo ThinkPad Z61T and then said hello to the new loaner. It is a Lenovo ThinkPad R400. The case is all black. I will miss the snazzy Titanium cover and solid service the old one provided during its life but it was time to move on. The new R400 is a very capable machine. At just under 5 pounds it is lighter than I am used to toting around.
The R400 is smaller, lighter weight, and has a brighter screen (14.1 in TFT active matrix) than the previous ThinkPad loaner. The 4 gigs of memory provide speedier access to programs.
Another big thing for me was the recent addition of free wireless connections in my condo complex. Even better it was installed on the outside wall of our unit. I now get excellent wireless service all the time. This has nothing to do with the R400 but everything to do with easy access to the web.
THE BASICS 14.1 inch wide screen 4 gig of memory Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40GHz 1066MHz 3MBL2) 25W 4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM) 180 Gig drive Bluetooth Wireless
The Lenovo R400 is everything I need for testing an on the road.
Thank you for your continued support Lenovo!
