Wilson Sleek Cell Phone Universal Signal Booster Fits most phones and improves weak signals.
If you live in a good signal area with 5 bars or even 4 this may not help you. The Sleek shows it best when you are in or pass through low signal areas. We often loose contact with our Arizona daughter as she drives from one place to another. The Wilson Sleek Cell Phone Booster is built to help with those low signal conditions.

I must admit I am not a fixer or a neat installer. My installation in the car and on the desk at home were not planned to be permanent so they looked sloppy and still worked. Since I did not have the wall installation items I just connected everything up and placed the Mini-magnet antenna halfway up the window sill. In the car it was more like spaghetti with the cable running out of the slightly rolled down passenger window with the Antenna attached to the roof. It is important to have at least 3 feet of cable between the Sleek Cradle and the antenna to prevent oscillation. (Oscillation makes a mess of reception) You also need to read and adhere to the distance people and other antennas need to have between them and the Sleek installation. Using a Bluetooth headset is highly recommended so the phone stays in the cradle at all times.
I was able to drive around and watch my bars on two phones: An HTC Droid Eris phone with Verizon Service that I am testing and my own Samsung SYNC A707 with AT&T Service. There are several ways to check for improved service on phones. The easy way is if your Bars are only 2, 3 or 4 normally and, when using the Sleek you see more bars than you had prior to placing the phone in the Sleek cradle. Another requires a code to be entered into the phone that then gives you feed back on signal strength. It is a strange situation as more bars are better when using your eyeballs but results using the dial-up code or signal strength readings in the phone only show an improvement if they are less (lower negative numbers) than they were before the Sleek is plugged in. Who Knew?? I sure didn’t.
I added the HTC Droid Incredible phone to some of these tests as I received it during the testing period.
Samsung SYNC A707 (AT&T) showed 5 bars full almost all of the time. The Sleek Cradle is adjustable to various sizes but, even at the smallest adjustment level, the Samsung SYNC clamshell phone fit very loosely in the Sleek Cradle. This may reduce results.
The HTC Droid Eris and Incredible ranged between 1 and 2 bars indoors or outdoors but mostly a single bar. Interestingly calls made on both HTC phones were clear and did not breakup or lose contact even with the low number of bars. 3G was fine on all phones. The Sleek Booster did not change the number of bars on any of the 3 phones. The Signal strength tests were much more revealing. Signal strength was very much improved when using the Wilson Sleek Universal Booster.
The HTC Droid Eris and the HTC Incredible phones have a built-in application to check Signal Strength. Go to the full Menu and then touch Settings/about Phone/Network. You can then read settings and current Signal Strength. My Samsung SYNC A707 clamshell, on the other hand, required a code that, when dialed in, would allow you to view the signal strength (HERE IS THE LINK TO a PDF THAT INCLUDES MANY CODES FOR OTHER PHONES) so I used it as well as checking the bars for increased numbers.
Signal Strength using the Sleek Signal Booster indoors with a Lenovo R400 ThinkPad and the included USB cable for power. Also in Car tests using AC adaptor and Sleek cradle.
HTC Droid Eris phone: Not in Sleek Cradle: Signal Strength: -104 dBm In Sleek Cradle: Signal Strength -81 dBm varied from -78 dBm to – 85 dBm In car test produced the same results.
HTC Incredible Not in Sleek cradle: -102 dBm In Sleek Cradle: -79 dBm to -85 dBm In car test produced the same results.
Samsung SYNC A707 Not in Sleek Cradle: -85 dBm In SLEEK Cradle In-doors: -66 dBm In car test produced the same results.
