Super Talent USB Flash Drive 8GB PICO-E slide The tiny Super Talent USB Flash Drive holds up to 8GB of files. Versions are 1, 2, 4, and 8 Gig. The nifty slide out cover makes it easy to carry in a wallet, purse, or on a key chain. The Super Talent USB Flash Drive is compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 for those with older systems. The drive is encased in a metal housing. It is, according to Super Talent, shock and water resistant and will hold up under most harsh conditions. There is a sliding cover that can enclose the entire connector area. Super Talent even shows a drive with water on it in their PR to bring home the idea of “water resistant” drives. I did not test that claim.
I used HD Tach to run some tests on the drive. Quick Bench Test 8 MB zones Long Bench Test The drive met the stated manufacturer specs. The drive seemed sturdy and should last many years. I do not suggest taking it or any Flash drive to the ocean in your bathing suit pocket. It might dry out and work fine but why test it. |
